Roger Empey has a mantra he runs his Bluffdale business by: “We take the time to do it right the first time.”
The success of his company, R & E Cleaning and Restoration, shows just how much customers appreciate his philosophy. R & E provides carpet, upholstery and air duct cleaning as well as emergency services for mold, water damage, sewage backups, and smoke and fire. The company uses only the best state-of-the-art equipment available.
Roger, a licensed general contractor, tells me he started out in 1980 as a carpet and upholstery cleaner. However, he had done construction for many years. In 1996, he received his certifications for disaster cleanup, purchased top-of-the-line equipment and went full time with cleaning and restoration work. Thirteen years later his company continues to thrive.
While the down economy has affected R & E Cleaning and Restoration – it’s slower than normal – Roger has been excited to discover he is still having repeat business from long-time clients. Customers are consistently impressed with the quality work, made possible from the high-tech equipment and skilled employees. Roger’s staff also does its best to put customers at ease while they are in someone’s home.
Not long ago, Roger added a drywall division that specializes in home repair. Drywall Medic offers expertise at matching any texture so it’s impossible to tell where repairs were made, which is quite a useful skill when performing disaster relief work.
Roger plans to continue the steady growth R & E Cleaning and Restoration has experienced. His son, Chris, recently graduated from college and joined him in the business. He has already improved follow-up by creating a customer relations survey to ensure clients are pleased with services received.
